Samuelson House

Samuelson.jpeg

The Samuelson House was the longtime home of the Samuelson family, whose patriarch, John Samuelson, owned a shoe shop in downtown Minot. (His family is pictured at the right.)

In 1970, the City of Minot took eminent domain of the land on which this house stood for the purpose of erecting low-income housing. The house was donated to the Ward County Historical Society by the Samuelson family to use as a meeting place for the WCHS.

The house features several rooms, including the upstairs (which had been converted into an apartment by the family), decorated with furniture from times past.
