Samuelson House

The Samuelson House was the longtime home of the Samuelson family, whose patriarch, John Samuelson, owned a shoe shop in downtown Minot.
In 1970, the City of Minot took eminent domain of the land on which this house stood for the purpose of erecting low-income housing. The house was donated to the Ward County Historical Society by the Samuelson family to use as a meeting place for the WCHS.
The house features several rooms, including the upstairs (which had been converted into an apartment by the family), decorated with furniture from times past.
