The Ward County Historical Society Board of Directors regrets to inform you that due to the current Coronavirus situation, we feel it is prudent to cancel our Roaring 20's Gala, scheduled for May 2, 2020. Although this fundraiser is important to our continued progress at the Pioneer Village Museum, your family's health is more important. At this time, we are unable to reschedule the Gala, but may be able to do so later. If you have already purchased a ticket, you can hold onto it for a future date, we can refund your money, or you can donate the money to the Historical Society.

We are hopeful that the Pioneer Village Museum can still have a soft opening the first week of June, with a Grand Opening Celebration on August 1. We appreciate your support and understanding in these turbulent times and wish you and your family good health.

BRUCE BROOKS (1937-2020)

The Ward County Historical Society regrets to inform you of the passing of our longtime friend, Bruce Brooks, who previously served as President of the WCHS.

Bruce was instrumental in the recovery of the Pioneer Village Museum after the 2011 flood and in fighting to keep it going through the legal battle with the North Dakota State Fair. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jan and the rest of his family.
