Letter from the Board President
Dear Friends of the Pioneer Village Museum;
This Thursday, September 1st at 6:45pm is the monthly Members Meeting of the Ward County Historical Society in the Eureka Town-hall at the Pioneer Village Museum. Come join us and help shape the future of the Museum and see the progress on the new multipurpose building being constructed. The foundation on this long awaited project to house our cars and other equipment is completed and the building itself will be put up next. We are in need of funding for this project as we have received a loan from a generous member. This is also just the basic building with no floor or other interior structures. Any assistance in helping to fund this building would be appreciated. We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization and your donations are tax deductible.
The Pioneer Village is still open this Tuesday to Saturday from 11 to 5 for daily tours. After Labor Day we will only be open for group tours and events by appointment only. We look forward to accommodating your school, assisted living center, business or other group tour. The Eureka Town-hall is available for rental as well. Give us a call for a tour or reservation at 701-839-0785.
Thank you to Thomas Burke, our summer Site Supervisor who has now returned to graduate school. We hope you had a chance to experience one of Thomas’s excellent tours this summer. Also, welcome to the new volunteers who went through orientation last week. Come by and meet some of them already working at the Museum. Other than a three month summer employee, everyone working at the Museum are volunteers. We want to give them a great big THANK YOU for making this summer at the Pioneer Village Museum a success. Finally, THANK YOU to all of the visitors and supporters who make it all rewarding and possible.
